(If a participant does not speak danish, this event will be facilitated in english).
This is a small, quiet event for those of you who have lost a pet and need to be somewhere where grief is welcome.
There will be a short intro and through a guided visualization and individual reflection you are invited to give space to the grief, without having to explain or defend it. You can write, draw, or simply sit in silence and remember a pet that is no longer here — but still fills your heart.
You are welcome whether it is a cat, dog, rabbit, horse or any other animal you have lost. Age: 16+ years
There is a cup of coffee/tea or cold drink and a little sweet included in the ticket.
The event will end with a small creative gesture that you can take home with you.
You don't have to be “ready.” You just have to be here.
The participants and the cats of the place hold the room together with facilitator and coach Mette Sophia Damgaard
If you are in urgent grief over the loss of a pet, call the Pet Grief Hotline at 2541 1413 (Wednesdays, Thursdays, Sundays, 17-19 pm)
- Access to the cat lounge
- Coffee or tea and a little sweet
- A facilitated program
The event will be held with a minimum of 3 registered participants. Booking closes 48 hours before.
We ask that you avoid strong perfume so that both cats and humans can breathe freely.
**Remember: **
The cats live here 24/7 and you are visiting their homes. They are allowed to move around freely, including choosing whether to play, cuddle, sleep or withdraw if they don't want company. We do our best to create a safe and good environment for both cats and guests, but it is always on the cat's premise.
Upon arrival you will be given a brief introduction to the site and our four-legged residents. The get-together is at your own risk and finally ask if you are curious about something or need help.
**Handicap: ** There are two steps up to the entrance door and an entrance/sluice with a 75cm doorway. The toilet is located on the old back staircase and is unfortunately not accessible by wheelchair/walker, as the walls give narrow and crooked angles.
