Come alone, with a friend or family, and become part of the Vikalikat community.

Make your own cat toy

From 8 years Make your own cat toy. This is a workshop for small and large cat friends with a love of recycling. \ Come and make cat toys with soul and sense of design. We transform old t-shirts, yarn scraps and cork stoppers into homemade cat toys that both stimulate the cat and delight the human being. \ You can take the toy home to your own cat — give it as a gift to a friend or donate it to VikaLikat or katteforeningen.dk, which helps homeless cats continue in life. \ Feel free to bring an old t-shirt and other things you have lying around that can be given new life as a cat's nest: fabric scraps, leashes, ribbons and gizmos. We also have plenty of materials ready for you. The workshop requires no prior knowledge — just the desire to create with your hands and hang out in good company with other cat lovers and cats. \ The cocoa and coffee are warm, the atmosphere is relaxed — and hopefully there will be at least one loving cat's nest during the workshop. Children between 8-14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Tuesday evening: Meowfullness - meditation with cats (in english)

From age 16 For cat lovers ready for a quality break. In this workshop, you're invited to slow down, relax your shoulders, and connect with the present moment in the company of cats who have mastered the art of living life one sunbeam at a time. You'll be gently guided through a simple meditation and visualization focusing on breathing, awareness, and presence. When you meditate surrounded by cats, their calmness rubs off on you, allowing you to sink into a healing and energizing sense of presence. It's pure fur therapy! No prior experience with meditation is needed — just come as you are. You'll be safely guided (in english) every step of the way.

From 8 years Start the day in good company with the local cats, a good cup of coffee and a delicious croissant. Welcome to quality time, presence and cat netting. In the morning, cats are extra fond of social contact and interaction, so if you are considering whether to adopt a new family member and would like to feel the chemistry or if you simply lack soft fur and paws in your life, then this is a good place to start the day. Come alone, with a friend or family and join the VikaLikat community.

Tuesday night: Wise on cat - vet talk

From 16 years WISE ON CAT: CAT'S FOOD AND NUTRITIONAL NEEDS\ \ Want to learn more about what's actually in the cat food — and what your cat actually needs? \ Join us when Copenhagen's feline veterinarian Helena Randles shares her vast knowledge and passion for cats and nutrition. There will be opportunities for questions and dialogue. \ \ This evening is for those who want to give your cat the best conditions for a healthy and long life. \ Together with the Copenhagen Cat Veterinarian, we dive into the nutritional needs of cats and debunk some of the most enduring myths about food, snacks and special diets. There is time for dialogue and questions. You'll hear about:\ — What a cat needs in its diet — and what it should avoid — How to read and understand the ingredients list on cat food\ — How a cat's needs change throughout life — from kitten to senior\ — What you need to pay attention to in case of overweight, allergies and illness\ \ We spice up presentations and dialogue with evening coffee and delicious cream buns, as well as cat fun with VikaLikat's cats. Tuesday Night: Tales with Cat

Look forward to a special evening in the company of both cats and literature! October 28, 2025: From Lessing to Brøgger to Malmvig. Author Helle Malmvig guests VikaLikat and reads excerpts up of well-known novels featuring cats and a break piece from her next novel, “A Promise”. Sit back and enjoy your evening coffee and some sweet in our cosy cat lounge while cuddling a cat and travelling into the literary universes. Workshop for children: Learn the language of cats

*Come and start your journey to becoming true cat whisperer! * The workshop is for children between the ages of 8 and 12 — whether you have a cat yourself or just love them. There is room for 6 children in the workshop and it is without parents, who can instead take an adult break at a cafe on Vesterbros Torv or in Skydebanehaven in the meantime. Remember to reconcile this with your child in advance :-) Cats are different from dogs — they are independent, proud and full of little quirks. Many people think they may seem unpredictable, but in fact cats are constantly sending signals that we can learn to understand. We look at the cat's body language: the tail, ears, eyes and sounds. You will get tips to see when a cat is happy, curious, insecure, in a playful or cuddly mood or just wants to be left alone. We talk about what cats like and what they need and you can ask all the questions you have about cats and their cool and funny quirks. There will be plenty of time to practice “talking to cats” through play and nous with Vikalikat's own cats. The workshop lasts 75 minutes and there is cake (or another snack from the committee) and a soda/juice/cocoa included, as well as a workshop certificate.
